The show moves the setting to the present day

The cast gives truly great performances
The narrative is solid, with twists that keep you hooked, and the cinematography captures the eerie atmosphere perfectly. However, I have to say that Ms.
Lynch’s acting was quite disappointing
Her performance was very one-dimensional, which was unfortunately highlighted by the strong, nuanced cast. It’s not about race – I can think of several great black actresses who could have given the role more depth and complexity.
It’s certainly not perfect, but it’s worth watching
It’s just that her performance didn’t live up to the quality of the show as a whole, which was disappointing. However, the show is worth watching for its story and the excellent performances from the other cast members.
